My regular freelance client, The Woods, a local concert booking and management business, hired me to design a digital flyer for their upcoming rave, Pinkie Pie's Cringecore Rave. This event is a passion project by the owners, created to celebrate My Little Pony alongside "childish" internet fandoms and interests. Their initial idea for the flyer was to make Pinkie Pie the focal point and showcase well-known characters interacting with each other.

I started the process by sketching an outline and illustrating it by hand, then scanned it into Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to clean it up and add color and detail.

The response was unreal. As soon as the flyer was posted to The Woods' social media, it blew up. The post is currently sitting at 18k likes on a local business Instagram account with only 5k followers. The event, held at a 150-cap venue, sold out within five days, and the organizers are now working to secure a bigger venue to accommodate the popularity the flyer helped generate.
